MBCN story:
MATA BHAGWANTI DEVI CHADHA CHARITABLE TRUST was formed in the memory of late Smt.
Bhagwanti Devi Chadha , Mother of Mr. Kulwant Singh Chadha, Chairman of the
Chadha Group of Industries.
Mr. Gurdeep Singh Chadha, a leading industrialist of
Northern India and Managing Director of the Group is the driving force behind
the formation of the charitable trust. He established Mata Bhagwanti Chadha
Niketan in July 1999 with the mission to educate and prepare special children
to live within the community, having achieved three fold self dependence,
Physical, Social and Financial to the best of their ability.
MATA BHAGWANTI CHADHA NIKETAN is the name of Charitable Special School for Mentally and
Physically challenged children. It is run by ‘MATA BHAGWANTI DEVI CHADHA
CHARITABLE TRUST’.The Niketan is one of the very few private rehabilitation
institutions, that doesn’t charge any money for the services provided to the
students. The Niketan is fully committed and dedicated for the rehabilitation
of children with mental retardation, cerebral palsy, autism and muliple
disability. It is trusted that these children should be loved and respected in
the society as any other normal child is. Presently the institution provides
rehabilitation services to about 200 beneficiaries.
Mata Bhagwanti Chadha Niketan (nick named and popularly known as
MBCN) is a pristine experiment in discharge of corporate social responsibility
by a flourishing group of commercial companies, called the Chadha Group of
Companies. Its a 100% charitable school for the rehabilitation of very special
needs children suffering from congenital, intellectual and physical infirmities
or incompatibilities, including cerebral palsy, seizures, mental retardation,
visual and hearing impairment, multiple disability and the inability to
psychologically interact with the society and the community due to brain
development disorders called autism. The Niketan is one of the very few private
rehabilitation institutions.
The Managing Director of the Chadha Group, Mr Gurdeep Singh Chadha
(popularly known as Ponty Chadha), is naturally enthused towards mainstreaming of the
physically and mentally challenged. In spite of his physical constraint he has emerged
as a rising star on the corporate canvass of India during the last decade, by sheer
virtue of his tenacity of purpose and the will to stand up to difficulties. The Group
is led by a young and enthusiastic but God fearing family of Directors. Devotion to
spiritual values has fortified the deeply grouted empathy for the physically and
intellectually challenged children, and the establishment in 1999 of MBCN by the Chadha
Group as a totally charitable and social venture, in the sacred memory of the Grandmother
of the Directors – late Smt. Bhagwanti Devi Chadha.
Established initially in a rented building in NOIDA an upcoming industrial
suburb of New Delhi, MBCN has been recently shifted to a modern campus and has its own premises
spreading over two acres of land on the upcoming eight lane NOIDA – Agra Express Way.
MBCN is surrounded by three upcoming international schools which promises an ideally
motivated surrounding for the incumbent children. The Chadha Group itself has promoted
one of these international schools called Genesis Global School adjoining the MBCN
spread over an area of 15 acres. Genesis Global School has an avowed mission to
provide world class education with international level academic, sports and curricular
activities, while at the same time deeply entrenching its education system and curriculum
in traditional Indian values and beliefs. One of the main stays of activities in Genesis
Global will be compulsory social service by the students, with a prescribed minimum number
of hours, which will include studying and contributing socially towards the management of incumbents of MBCN.
