Parenting a child with special needs is not an easy job.
Parents having a special child experience a variety of stress
reactions related to the child’s disability. In order to cope up with the problem it is important for the parents to know about the problem of the their child and management of the same.
A unique feature of school’s functioning is parent’s involvement
in training of the child. Parents are equally involved in the educational
and training programme of children with professionals. Some parents are so involved in the school activities that they voluntarily devote full time in the school working with children regularly.
Most of our staff members themselves are parents of special children and they are formally trained and registered as rehabilitation professionals with ‘Rehabilitation council of India’.
Workshops are organized regularly in the school to train the parents about various aspects of effective parenting and to cater the special needs of their child at home.
