Vocational Training

The prime intent of Late Sh. Ponty Chadha behind laying the foundation of a special school, was to ensure that anyone lagging behind in intellectual, physical or mental abilities should NOT face any discrimination in their social lives.

At MBCN, we impart the right vocational training to each student, depending upon their capabilities and limitations, to bring them at par with the world.

Our vocational training programme, Swayam, engages them in various activities for creating handcrafted and eco friendly products. They learn to design and create paper bags, envelopes, cards, holders, gift boxes and other handmade office items. In exchange, money is not all they get. This training gives them a sense of self-worth and economic independence. Besides, they learn the skill of developing interpersonal relationships.

The children who do not show much progress on the academic front are encouraged to pursue the vocational training programmes. Swayam products, made by special children, are purchased by various corporate houses and organizations. Not only this, the students also get a stipend for their contribution, as an encouragement for their hard work and special skills.
